Our aim is to present savings rates clearly, consistently, and transparently, so users can compare fixed-rate options more easily.
Products we include
We focus on UK fixed-rate savings accounts with clearly defined terms, including:
- 3-month fixed-rate savings
- 6-month fixed-rate savings
- 12-month fixed-rate savings
- 24-month fixed-rate savings
- 36-month fixed-rate savings
Products are grouped strictly by term to allow like-for-like comparison.
Products we exclude
To keep comparisons clear and maintainable, we currently exclude:
- Easy access savings accounts
- Notice accounts
- Variable-rate savings products
- Products with complex or conditional bonus rates
These exclusions may change over time as the site develops.
How rates are selected
Rates shown on YieldsDirect are based on publicly available information from UK savings providers, including provider websites and official product literature.
We aim to include a broad range of competitive products, but we may not cover every provider or product available in the market.
How tables are ordered
Within each fixed-term table:
- Products are ordered by headline AER (Annual Equivalent Rate), from highest to lowest
- Where two or more products have the same AER, their ordering is determined by the alphabetical order of the offering institution’s name
No other factors (such as provider size, brand recognition, or commercial relationships) affect table ordering.
How often rates are updated
Savings tables are reviewed and updated weekly.
The “Last updated” date shown above each table reflects the most recent review of that table, even if rates have not changed since the previous update.
